
Shahla Simpler
Warmhearted, with a joyful sense of humor, Shahla is a certified Ananda Yoga Instructor who began her yoga journey in 2017. Shahla shares: “The first time I practiced yoga postures, they felt deeply familiar to me. I love starting each day with energization exercises, Ananda Yoga, and meditation. These practices have transformed me—bringing more joy, vitality, and inner peace into my life.”
After a life-changing Ananda pilgrimage to India in late 2022, she felt called to deepen her path and moved permanently to Ananda Village in 2024. Besides being immersed in her job and in community life, Shahla finds joy in long forest walks and swimming in the nearby Yuba River.
A yoga retreat with Shahla will feel deeply nurturing and grounding—an experience of being cared for on many levels.
